Betts(JP) – Yosde CD
Set in “Yotsude”, an area where hut fishing is popular, this piece expresses the image of a scene with guitar phrases while looping sound sources recorded in the coastal area. Each song begins with a small number of notes, but in the latter half of the song, these notes transform into a drone. Since the subject matter of this piece is local scenery, I was very particular about the equipment I used. I used voice memos on my iPhone for field recording, and Garageband for song editing. Only two types of delay loopers were used when recording the guitar. Despite being in a cheap and simple environment, I took great care to express my work.
