Ippu Mitsui – Shift Down CD
Ippu has achieved a minor cult following in the UK, featuring on BBC Radio 6Music and frequently on local radio shows such as BCfm’s In-Tune with Phil Vickery, and Radio Woking’s Comfy Show, as well as web radio such as Radiocoolio. “Shift Down” is Ippu’s first release for the Submarine Broadcasting Company and demonstrates a subtle change of direction, with some more mid-tempo or mellower pieces: “Absolutely loving this mellow side of Ippu; Drifting Into Warm Sunset sounds more and more beautifully lush and dreamy every time you play it.” — Monolith Cocktail

Iyari – Hozro CD
Iyari’s Hozro is a beautiful post-rock album filled with ambient soundscapes mixed with delicate guitar work, creating a work that can shift from being calming and comforting to dark and introspective. Iyari’s album is a reflection on the beauty and magic of the universe, using hozro, a Native American Dineh word meaning “to be in harmony with one’s environment”, to connect this feeling to the music. Iyari is an improvisational guitarist from Barcelona, Spain. This is his second release for Submarine Broadcasting Company.

Draaier – The Town That Was Murdered CD
The Town That Was Murdered is Draaier’s love/hate letter to their home town of Jarrow, an a homage to the book written by Red Ellen Wilkinson. Forgotten at best, actively dismantled at worst, Jarrow is a signifier of the treatment of Northern industrial towns. Pitch black in places but not without glimmers of hope, there is a violence and frustration that runs underneath the surface, a resentment at being ostracised.
