Wormwood is the debut release of A.D. Luck (aka SELVEDGE, aka Chance Dibben). Harkening back to his earlier work of beat and rhythm-driven electronic music, Dibben creates a jittery, distorted, even wonderfully annoying experience across Wormwood. The album was composed entirely with the Koala Sampler from Elf Audio, using a variety of recorded sounds as the basic of its tracks. Samples used include a friend’s baby, knives banging in a sink, whistles, drum taps on a car hood, a shrieking cat, pipes, baby toys, and more. The result is glitchy, drunk, and wobbled tunes animated by a cartoonish logic with echoes of 80/90’s European synth pop. Dibben is a music-maker, writer, and photographer living in Lawrence, Kansas, USA. For the past five years he has been making music as SELVEDGE, a mix of drone, noise, and ambient.

Elsehow – Patterns CD
Patterns is the debut album from Elsehow (singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Piero Delux). It’s a beautiful collection of original songs that range from art-pop through to synth pop, plus three covers of material by artists who Piero cites as major influences (Talk Talk, Brian Eno and Scott Walker). It’s an album ideal for the summer with lots of shifting, shimmering sounds and Piero’s plaintive vocals, but it’s definitely bittersweet with minor keys and songs of love and loss.

hyacinth. – seasonal hits MC
For anyone who has not yet had the pleasure, hyacinth is a non-binary native artist living in Portland, Oregon. You may also know their work under the moniker qualchan (again, always lower case!) Last year when Covid hit, hyacinth’s partner lost their job and they relied on hyacinth’s artistic output to keep on top of the bills. In order to make the most of the Bandcamp Fridays, hyacinth launched a new seasonal EP every month. These EPs were released on the Peradam Tapes label as digital downloads. We’re very happy to collect these EPs together and present them as one conveniently cassette-sized cassette.
