Dronetime (2007), was X-Bax’s second album and follow-up to In Search of The Brown Note (2004). Longer and dronier than its predecessor, it pointed the path forward. X-Bax continues to a vehicle for Phil Dole’s experimental musing when not playing with other groups such as Chord, Grand Kali Ma, Dole & Megalos, and Dots.

‘happy pills’ to me is about transition, about change. each song poses as a different part to a full story; ranging from relationship breakdown, to the pressures to be happy, to self love. each song is a journey, and each completely different from the last. with two bonus tracks, exclusive to the physical release, ‘happy pills’ is an EP centred around self discovery and finding your own ‘happy pills’ within yourself. The EP opens with a sense of longing, and neediness, but closes self assured and certain of my ability to be independent and confident.
