iGod

When it was initially published that the concept behind iGod’s second solo album, Fire In The Hole, was the journey of young Satam Al Suqami from adolescence to martyrdom, iGod found himself in the cross-hairs of the FBI. Agents, posing as “concerned citizens”, began demanding free copies of the CD to “evaluate”. When the label refused, they demanded lyric sheets. Rather than point out that it was entirely instrumental record, they were told they’d just have to buy a copy and let the album speak for itself. We hope that the Bureau ponied up…

This one-off collaboration between electronic artist/producer iGod and noted Japanese Bizzaro Fiction writer Kenji Siratori provides a dark dystopian techno full of cut-and-paste beats and narration.
